Note: You need an SCT device to flash these custom tunes onto your truck. All Powerstroke tunes come with transmission tuning (TCM).
When compared to most market tunes, our tunes focus on 'usable power'. Peakside Performance optimized this by testing in various Canadian conditions. You'll get fast - spooling, hard - pulling, and great - shifting tunes for long - term enjoyment of your 6.0L.
SCT devices are a cost - effective way to tune your 6.0L Powerstroke. These tunes work on SCT X4, SCT BDX, or SCT Livewire Tuning Devices. Just send us your VIN and SCT device serial number, and we'll create custom files for your truck.
Power Levels
- HD 12k Tow (50HP): A bit more power than stock, great for heavy hauling with better driveability and spooling.
- Tow (75HP): Ideal for daily driving and towing, adding power without sacrificing drivability.
- Street (100HP): Suitable for non - studded trucks or street use on studded trucks, similar to race tuning.
- Performance (150HP): The top - notch race tuning. Great on the street and for track use. Studded trucks are recommended!
- PSP Locked (150HP): Peakside's race tuning with early torque converter lockup, for track racing or aggressive street driving.
Transmission Tuning
Peakside's Powerstroke tuning includes transmission tuning for each power level. Shifts are firm but smooth. Any banging or slipping should be fixed right away for reliability.
Notes
- After loading the tuning, do 100 - 150km of mixed driving to let the transmission relearn. Otherwise, it may lead to premature transmission failure.
To use these custom tune files for your 2003 - 2007 Ford F - Series with a 6.0L Powerstroke engine, you first need an SCT device. Send us your vehicle's VIN number and the serial number of the SCT device (like SCT X4, SCT BDX, or SCT Livewire). We'll then build custom files for your truck. You can choose from different power levels based on your needs, whether it's heavy hauling, daily driving, or racing. After loading the tuning, make sure to drive 100 - 150km with a mix of driving patterns. This helps the transmission relearn and ensures it works well. If you notice any abnormal shifting like banging or slipping, get it checked immediately. This will keep your transmission reliable and make it last longer.
