Using this Duramax lift pump install kit is a breeze. First, make sure your truck is turned off and cooled down. Start by connecting the 5/8' fittings, hose, and clamps from the fuel tank to the lift pump. Then, use the 1/2' fitting, hose, and clamps to connect the lift pump to the truck. Since the hoses are pre - cut, installation should be quick and easy. You don't need to weld anything; just clamp everything in place. As for maintenance, keep an eye on the brass fittings for any signs of wear or leaks. Since the exhaust parts are made of 304 stainless steel, they're resistant to rust, but you can still give them a regular clean to keep them looking good.
