Using these EBC S2 brake kits is simple. First, make sure if you're upgrading the pads, do it on both front and rear or just the front. Don't upgrade only the rear. When installing, leave the Thermic Black coating on the rotors as it's there to protect against rust. You don't have to do anything to remove it. After installation, drive normally. The brake pads will gradually remove the coating in the areas they sweep within the first 10 to 20 stops. As for maintenance, check your brakes regularly for wear. If you notice any strange noises or reduced braking performance, it might be time to replace the pads or rotors. Also, keep your wheels clean to help maintain the braking system's performance. Remember, removing the Thermic Black coating with brake cleaner or other methods isn't covered by the EBC warranty, so just let the normal use of the brakes take care of it.
