Extend the lifespan of your Duramax 6.6L diesel engine with our Water Coolant Filter Bypass System. By removing contaminants like casting sand and metal shavings from the manufacturing process, it ensures your water pump and EGR cooler last longer. This kit filters a small amount of coolant while your Chevy/GMC Duramax engine is running.

The filter head, made of CNC - machined billet 6061 aluminum with anodized construction, attaches to a supplied bracket that mounts in the factory holes where a secondary alternator was located. It has 2 threaded inlet ports and 1 outlet port. The kit comes with all necessary fittings. The pre - assembled silicone hose fittings offer simple, leak - proof connections and are factory - tested at twice the recommended radiator cap pressure.

Notes

• Replace the first filter at 500 miles.
• Replace the second and third filters at 3,000 miles each.
• After 3 filter changes, replace the filter once a year.

Using this Duramax coolant filtration system is easy. First, gather the recommended tools like a 10mm deep socket, 11/16 open - end wrench, etc. Then, attach the CNC - machined filter head to the supplied bracket and mount it in the factory holes where the secondary alternator was. Connect the pre - assembled silicone hose fittings. Once installed, start your engine, and the system will start filtering the coolant. For maintenance, replace the first filter after driving 500 miles. Replace the second and third filters after every 3,000 miles. After three filter changes, you only need to replace the filter once a year. Remember, no drilling is required for installation, so it's a hassle - free process.
